Asmaa Alanbari is a curator, visual artist & art director interested in the narration of stories through art, design and place-making.  She designs immersive cultural events using her background in architecture, fine art & socio-economics. Her latest immersive event is a multisensorial narration of a contemporary adaptation of Gilgamesh, combining video projections, music & live dance performance. The audience is immersed in a fictional world that comments on the climate crisis and our individual infatuation with time. https://www.alanbari.co.uk/

Numerous freelance collaborations include The Saatchi Gallery, The French Culture Institute of the UK and the 17th Edition of the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2022. Committed to intercultural dialogue and the preservation of natural and cultural heritage, Alanbari is Iraqi born & brought up in France & the UK.

Alanbari also has a fine art practice anchored in expressionistic colour with light, layering & transparency as her centres of interest. She holds postgraduate degrees from Chelsea College of Art, The London School of Economics and L’Ecole Speciale d’Architecture Paris.
